Manga Gallery

Alright, this page is chock full of all the manga scenes in x-1 through x-16 that I thought were worthy of being placed in the gallery. X-1 and x-2 won't be placed since Arashi and Sorata haven't met yet, though I'm debating whether or not to scan a certain pic from x-1. It all depends on the stability of my Viz volume. I still don't have x-17. I hope to find it soon enough for the Best of the Best Sorashi scenes!

These pics tend to have a lot more Arashi and Sorata group pics than most of the color images which is why I chose to do more of them. Besides some of the scenes are quite memorable and almost everyone will recognize what is going on in each pic. But don't worry, for those who can't get access to the great manga that is X, I have provided a little summary with all the pics to tell you what each is about and what volume it's from. Enjoy.

~All of these pictures were scanned, cropped, sharpened by me, but I don't care if anyone uses them so long as they give me a little credit. Afterall, I practically killed my books just to get these pics.~

By the way, all the translations beneath the pics come from Rabi's X Page. Kristin asked me to remove the translation from X-16.

X-3

~Arashi encounters Sorata for the first time while he is with Kamui.

Arashi: “Another was here but...”

Sorata: “Another?”

Arashi: “He was called away by his beeper and had to leave.”

~One of my first favorite Sorata scenes. Sorata jokes about being glared at by both Arashi and Kamui.

Sorata: “When two beautiful people glare at me like that, I get scared. Hey, please calm down, you two.”

~Our favorite couple get their first impression of one another.

X-4

~Sorata treats Arashi and Kamui to lunch while they discuss the meaning of the Megami family as well as their respective destinies.

Sorata: “Of course the bill is on me.

~Classic adorable Sorata here. This is the first time Sorata states his choice to Arashi.

Sorata: “You’re a real beauty. Of course, I’ve picked you.”

Arashi: “What do you mean?”

~Sorata deals with the taxi driver, while coaxing Arashi into taking them to see Hinoto.

I just love how irritated Arashi looks here. :)

Sorata: “Excuse me, driver. Could you give me a receipt? This means my life you see. Because without my recent receipts, they won’t acknowledge my expenses. Thank you for your troubles.

(to Arashi) “You’re still hesitating? Is it OK for you to take Kamui and I to the princess beneath here?”

~Sorata prevents Arashi from aiding Hinoto against Kamui.

~Sorata saves Arashi from falling debris when Seishirou attacks the Diet Building.

This is from the days when I used to get Viz X/1999.

~Sora-chan announces to Arashi that she is the lucky girl he has chosen to give his life to, as prophesized by the star-gazer of Mt. Kouya. Arashi is understandably surprised.

~Arashi and Sorata discuss how they will go about finding the other Seals as Sora-chan sneaks a quick hug.

~Sorata attempts to flirt with Arashi while trying to get in touch with the head of the Sumeragi Clan. Arashi doesn't take well to his gesture.

~Arashi and Sorata recover after a massive earthquake shatters the area around them.

Arashi: "That wasn't a normal quake."

~Arashi and Sorata head out to find the newest Angel.

~Arashi and Sorata get their first close-up glance of Subaru after his fight with Seishirou.

~Much to Arashi's chagrin, Sora-chan eagerly introudces both himself and the reclusive Seal to the morose Subaru.

X-9

~This picture is nothing more than a neat little profile of the two lovebirds after all the Dragons of Heaven are introduced to one another.

X-10 (Arashi's Side Story)

~Arashi posed in her priestess robes on the front cover with the symbol of the Dragons of Heaven in the background.

~Poor filthy chibi-Arashi standing in the rain upon viewing a scene of destruction.

Arashi:"I'm thinking of if there's a meaning to if I eat trash to live."

~Young Arashi wears the lovely kimono given to her by Kaede.

Oh she looks so adorable!

X-11

~Watching protectively over Kamui, Arashi and Sora-chan make their way to Clamp Academy.

I love Sorata's remark during this scene.

Sorata:"There's no way he can forget what happened this spring, but Kamui's doing his best in his Kamui way."

Arashi:"...Yes:"

~Sorata congradulates Yuzuriha on her cooking skills as Arashi looks at him skeptically.

Sorata:"Smells gooood! They're sandwiches today, right?"

~Arashi begins to see Sorata in a new light after he urges Kamui to go befriend Keiichi.

I love Arashi's look in this pic, she's just so sincere.

~Following his explanation of why he wants Kamui to expand his friendships to other people besides him, Sorata is actually able to earn a reassuring smile from his chosen one.

Sorata:"It's better if Kamui also connects with someone besides me, even for a little bit."

Arashi:"You're right."

X-12

~Arashi and Sorata blame themselves for Subaru and Kamui's injuries.

They just look so forlorn.

~The first part of the touching scene between Arashi and Sorata that occurs when Sorata convinces Kamui to eat again after the incident with Subaru's eye. Arashi is completely amazed by Sorata's ability to get others to continue fighting. During this dramatic moment, Sorata places his hand over Arashi's as he asks her an interesting question .

Sorata:"Will you eat too, if I ask you to?"

~Arashi is at loss for words.

~The second part to the pic above where Arashi muses over Sorata, glancing over her hand longingly after he leaves.

I love the wisps of flower petals in the background for added effect.

X-13

~Arashi and Sorata debate over running to Kamui and Yuzuriha’s rescue.

Sorata: “Shouldn’t we have more faith in them?”

Arashi: “Ye...yes!”

Sorata: “Let’s go!!”

~Proof that Sorata can look just as tough as the best of them. The pair arrive before Fuuma and Kamui and Sorata summons some fearsome lightning.

Sorata: “That will be awkward for us.”

(summoning power)“Kamui’s still a kid. He wouldn’t understand all these profound conversations of grown-ups.”

X-14

~After a cryptic statement of being able to read Kamui's emotions through his facial expressions, Arashi challenges Sorata to read her mind.

Arashi:"What am I thinking of right now?"

Sorata:"This guy looks frivolous, but he can be quite observant, too. I guessed right, didn't I?"

~Ooh great scene! Sorata then presents Arashi with a question of her feelings toward him, which he says he's unsure of.

Sorata:"However, there are things that I can't say for sure..... For example, what do you think of me?"

Does anyone else notice that all of their most tender moments develop from Arashi being fascinated with how Sorata helps Kamui deal with his angst issues?

~Fearing that Arashi isn't taking him seriously, Sorata proceeds to confess his love.

Sorata:"I love you. I'm not teasing you, and it's not meant as a joke. I'm serious. My feelings haven't changed a bit since we first met."

~Arashi doesn't know how to respond. In the midst of their discussion, Sorata reaches over and caresses a strand of Arashi's hair.

Sorata:"I've decided that if I have to die for someone, that someone will be you. Are my feelings for you nothing but trouble to you? Am I still merely one of the "Dragons of Heaven" in your eyes?"

~I love this scene! It's so sweet! I let the pic speak for itself.

~Swept up in confusion and emotion, Arashi softly speaks out Sorata's name.

This is such a great pic of Arashi with the sparkles and wind effect.

~Arashi fondles with the strand of hair that Sorata had kissed.

Aww, doesn't she look sad?

~Smiling, Sorata pats Arashi on the head as he tries to comfort her after she falls for the same joke he played on Kamui.

~Sorata comments on Arashi looking especially cute after seeing her embarrassed. Arashi immediately turns away, blushing.

Sorata:"You're so beautiful, but nowadays I find you cute too.
I annoyed her again."

~This pic is too funny not to add. Chibi-inuki clamps onto Sorata's hand to teach the friendly Seal not to pull his ears. I especially adore the deadpan look on Arashi's face.

Sorata: "Ouch!!"

Arashi: "That's what you get for your pranks."
