Waiii! I have to hang at the college so I'm going to miss Halloween. NOO! I didn't really want to go trick-or-treating as much as helping my little brother get together his Draco Malfoy costume. He actually looks more like a blond Harry Potter, especially with his glasses. But he likes Draco more and wanted to go as him. I'm just afraid that my parents won't do his costume right and he'll look like a dork and get the crap kicked out of him. He's so short for his age of 11. That's why I call him Chibi. He's used to it by now and doesn't even get angry when I call him it. I guess it's better than what I used to call him: Boy. Anyway, I printed out pictures and went into great detail about the way my mother had to dress him and slick back his hair. I also said he had to ditch his glasses. The poor thing's going to be blind. ^^

On a lighter note, I gave one of my old high school buddies my IM and now all of my comrades from HS keep dialing me up on the IM. It's fun I guess. Though I could do without someone freaking them out with our yaoi ramblings. But I get to talk to Di and Sarah again who are just as bouncy as ever.

I hear that both the new Kenshin and Sakura are out and I want now but I fear that I may have spent all of my money on rentals and anime pins a few weeks ago. Sadness.

At least I know one thing I'll be doing this Halloween, hanging out with the Dawson Creek fanboy and checking out this episode about Dawson's dad dying. It sounds interesting. Maybe I can compare their handle of the situation to the Buffy gang's dealing with Joyce's death. Plus, DC fanboy is always fun to hang around because he's so obsessive about the show.

Have all my mangas! Heaven! That means I can scan soon. Also have my new monitor so that I can actually see my screen for once without squinting or turning off all the lights.

I really need more of the X episodes though. Does anyone know how far the series is up to yet? I hear 4, but nobody seems to speak of anything above 2. Dammit. Now I really want the beginning song. It would help to know its name so I could do a search for it, but alas I had to return my tape. Oh well, I'll just rent it again in a week or so.

And ffnet is pissing me off. I understand that they are trying to fix their site and I wish them the best of luck. So I'm going to continue to post my original fiction on their site but I also whipped up a mini-site of my own. The design is crappy and it's just basically one intro page to the chapters. I'll fix it when I decide what else I should do with it. At least, all the chapters are working nicely. I guess I shouldn't be greedy. Anyways, I put the link on the side next to current projects. Ah, if only I could get more time to write it. Must slack more with schoolwork. ^^

And now that the hell known as Jour 100 is over, I have more time to write and surf the net since I don't have to go to bed so early anymore. Yeah! Hey, what do you know? I could almost be considered happy right now. That's a sight one doesn't see every day.

Going to post a lot more later. All I want to say right now is that I finally found a way to see X the series. One of the nice guys at Pandora's lent me his copy.

My reactions:
What is the deal with all the feathers in every single scene in the first ep?
Subaru and Kamui with brown eyes?
I love the beginning song and the end song animation.
Kamui is even more of a bad boy in the beginning than in the the manga.
Yuzuriha is cute as ever.
Kotori's innocence just screams kill me.
Kamui's flashing eyes whenever he gets pissed are nifty.
Sora-chan and Yuuto fighting is too freakin' funny.
I love how Sorata jumps when Fuuma gives him the evil eye. (Good practice for the future.)

Conclusion: I NEED MORE!

Hey Piiko, I'd love to play on your RPG blog. But I think you should find some clearer pics for the layout. People like to see their X bishies looking crystalline so they can obsess over them. Hope you find some new people to play soon.

I want to know where that spanish Sorashi fic went to. It was on ffnet right before the major crash where they revamped the whole page. Now it's gone. Waii! I wanted to use it. It was good and I was planning on putting both the spanish and the translated (by moi, of course) version on my Sorashi page. Ahh! Must find fic again.

Happy writing has been ensuing. Whenever I can get some private time. No serious blocks have been jumping up or anything and if they have, they usually only last a day. Soo happy. Being able to get a chance to write makes me perky and able to stand another day of the torture that is college. Now if I could avoid all the catastrophic events that seem to run rampant here, I'll be in good shape.

Also, I hope that I can get a new monitor this weekend because me eyesight is shot! My eye is always watering and the sun directly focuses on my computer only. So I always have to have the shades down in the afternoon and all of my roommate's friends think I'm some sort of freak who hates the sun. I just want to see my damn screen for crying out loud!

Guess what? We had yet another fire drill at 3:15 a.m. I was fucking asleep! Thank god, we were only out there for about ten minutes this time. Everyone was saying that they could care less if the fire alarm went off again. But the RA's told them that if a fireman walked in the building and saw that they were still in their rooms, they could get fined $2000! :o

Anyway, I also found out yesterday that my manga which I ordered back in early August after non-existant Otakon venture, is being shipped. Yes, I'll get all my lovelies except for Yami 1. *sobs* But hey I'll get a nifty Gravitation pencil board and all the X's that I'm missing. I'll be able to scan and update my Sorashi page. All right!

Whoa! Sorashi? Nayami's been reading too much Digimon fanfiction where they make up pairings by combining names. FF fanfiction uses this system too sometimes. I think it's kind of cool. Much more interesting than the first letters of two characters names or the ever annoying number system. Unfortunately for X yaoi pairings, this just wouldn't work. Seibaru? Subami? Fuumi? Uck! The letter system works better in these cases.
Hmm. Let's try Yami. Murazuki? That's interesting. Tsuzoka? That's not so bad. Tatzuki? Hey, these are actually plausible. What do you know?
Me thinks I'm thinking too much into this. Oh well, can't wait to get new Kenshin and manga this weekend. And get fansubs of CCS or WK.

Bitch Topic of the Week: Is it Hell? No, It's the University of Maryland AKA The Physical Manifestation of Murphy's Law

Fire drills. Fire drills. We all remember them from back in our innocent years. The bell ringing and all of us scrambing to rush out the door just to stand next to yet another building that could possibly catch on fire (or in the case of a bomb threat, blow up). Teachers checking to make sure they have all their students. Us unfortunate children freezing our asses off in either sub-zero temperatures or a deluge of rain.
Now, this is not the thing you would expect from a college campus but hey this is UMD where as in the name of everyone's favorite martial arts school, anything goes! Anyway, I'm sitting typing my little story and enjoying some heavenly bliss now that I'm actually alone in my dorm for over an hour when I hear the most nerve-wracking buzz. What do you know it's a fire drill? Well, we've had tornadoes, Sept.11, water vein breaks, power outtages, why not a fire? So I along with the rest of my miserable dorm members trudge down the 7 flights of hard stairs just to stand outside in the icy cold for twenty minutes before we're told to walk back in. Okay, so this was tolerable. One little fire drill, no biggie. And we even had a fire truck to warrant the alarm.
So I return to my writing. Twenty minutes later, there's that infernal alarm again. This time I grab my jacket and lock my door, then storm back outside along with a group of highly pissed-off students. See quotes below for some memorable moments. So after about half an hour of waiting with no one telling us what's going on, we take over the Scholars Center and set up the TV to watch Dawson's Creek. This never would have happened if it wasn't for this huge Dawon's fanboy who spent many agonized minutes fixing it to play. And man, did this boy love that show! o_0 Sated for the moment, we all enjoy the relaxing period of watching Dawson's. When it's half-way over, some kid runs in and says we can go back to the building.
I return to my dorm and finish Dawson's. I usually don't watch but the beginning got me hooked and I was hoping to see Jack. I start to watch West Wing when...yes, you guessed it, that darm alarm goes off again! This is hell! Simple and plain hell! I slowly descend the stairs for the THIRD time that night and go outside to wait for another half hour. More fun quotes ensued. Finally after engaging in a *thrilling* conversation about this one student's exteremely boring computer programming book, we're allowed back in. I go upstairs and all the lights are down in my floor. Figures.
This has to be the worse freshman experience ever!

QUOTIES

"This had better be anthrax. Seriously, for coming down here again, I want to see some dead people."
Stated by a student on our second trip outside.

"I say we rip the fucking wires out of the damn alarm. That'll end this real quick."
Stated by student on third trip.

"Okay, you can go anywhere on the campus EXCEPT back in the building."
"Well, that sure solves ALL of our problems!"
"Thank you Mrs. Obvious. You may now return to your hole of mediocrity."

Stated by students after RA announcement that we could leave the area but not return to our rooms. -_-_

"Something just has to happen every week doesn't it? Last week we had the power shortage. The week before was the water vein break. The week before was the robbery. Before that, we had the tornado. Then there was Sept. 11. That got the honor of taking up two weeks. And at the start of this whole mess was that kid who died."
"So who's got plans for next week?"

Stated by pair of students as they hung by the convenience store.

"Ah, donuts are the food of the gods."
"But I thought ambrosia was the food of the gods."
"No ambrosia is the food of kings. Donuts are the food of the gods. Why do you think the Olympic sign uses rings. They remind people of donuts."
"Jonathan, you've been drinking again, haven't you?"

Overheard from a group of students in back of me, while watching DC.

"Hey, I had the choice between Dictionary, Thesaurus, and C-Programming. I chose C-Programming."
"Why?"
"Well, I figured we're going to be out here for some time and needed something to occupy myself."
"Yeah. If you want to pass out."
"This book doesn't even have any pretty pictures. I programming book should at least have programming pictures."
"It does. It has charts and graphs. See."
"You have no life, do you?"

Conversation about computer programming book ensuing during the chaos.

"I can't understand this crap. 'This is the best book I have ever complicated'."
"Obviously, you can't read either."

Further adventures of computer book fun.

"Anyone who gets on the elevator who doesn't live on the 4th floor or up is getting their ass kicked."
Student to other student who refused to use stairs even though he lived on the 3rd floor. Elevator was packed.

Memorable Moments of Fire Drill Chaos
-Guy running out in nothing but a towel and getting ridiculed.
-Girl running out with toothbrush.
-Huge room packed with DC fans all clamoring to see Pacey.
-Dawson Creek fanboy joining in.
-Reminiscing about fire drills, bomb threats, drug dogs, and unknown perpetrators in high school.
-Trying to use C-programming book to bash in hall door, then threatening to use it to smash fire alarm.
-Kids who walked in dorm the first time when they were already firemen in the building. These same kids commenced to go all the way upstairs, get their coats and ride back down on the elevators. Can we say stupid?
-Student cowering in fear in elevator after joking about being on the third floor.
-People sleeping on outside benches.

Yeah! I just finished downloading Gravi 10-13. Haven't had time to watch them though. Neither have I had the time to watch the CCS I downloaded or even the Kizuna that I bought And then there's cough*tamers*cough. Plus, I just bought all my manga all over again since it didn't get sent the first time. And this all has to get added to my never-ending homework. Too much to do. I need more time in my day.

Been writing up a storm though so I get that's good. Too bad ffnet is down for now. It would be when I finally get the time and inspiration to write, wouldn't it. That also means I can't email the one spanish writer of her fic. Since I've taken spanish for a good 4 years. I think I'm capable of asking her for permission to use and translate her fic. (Por favor, puedo usar su cuento en mi sito y tambien puedo tranducir entonces que mis leyendores pueden comprenderlo.) It sounds good to me. :)

Oh yeah and one more things.
I HATE THE NEWS! If I have to hear about Anthrax just one more time, I swear that I'll explode.

Yay! I got my package from Amazon. Now I'll I have to do is go pick up the newest Kenshin from Pandora's Cube and then I can have a mini anime marathon. Maybe I'll even pick up a new poster at the store. My dorm could use a little bishonen flavor, particularly if it is yaoiful.

Though last night I had my dose of yaoi for the moment. Not that it was real yaoi, but it was so cute. My rm had two guy friends over her room around 4 in the morning. So they were all watching Kiss of the Dragon on Kazaa and one of them passed out on her bed since they had been at a night club earlier. And then the other guy gets all sleepy and almost konks out on the chair next to my roommate. So she tells him to lie down on the bed until the movie's over. Obviously, the other guy ends up falling asleep on her bed right next to her other boy friend. When I woke up the next morning, my roommate was gone and her two friends were lying next to each other. The look on the one's face was so adorable, especially the way he had his hands all curled under his head. And the other one was less than two inches away from him. (what an odd coincidence?)

They told me when they woke up that the one who had fallen asleep later had promised to lie down on the other end of the bed. But he had turned around in the middle of the night. Damn I wish I could have taken a picture. Too bad, the flash probably would have woken them up. :P

You have a good point here. It is out of the character for most fan pairings to sleep together. No only that but I agree with the concept of establishing a powerful sense of love without having to insert sex. I know that a lot of lemons are good at building plot and storyline and trying to seem somewhat believable. But the majority of these really good ones do seem to smack of pushing the charas into bed. I prefer the sweet pairings where the characters show that they truly care about each other without having to express it through a sexual relationship. It's just my opinion but I have always prefered psychological stories to more active romantic ones.

Yay! I get to play search engine fun now. I have only one thing to say about it though. What is with my viewers and the want to see naked pics. NO! I do not have naked Digimon pics, naked Sakura pics, or naked Daria pics. LOL!

But I also run into those lucky searchers who actually find something they're looking for on my blog. The Yami Screencap searches and the Yami icon people must have been happy. Too bad I couldn't read half the other sites listed before mine because they were in foreign languages. I get lots of foreign language people looking for stuff on my site, especially Spanish and Portuguese ones. Go figure.

Social Blogging (Yes it exists in my realm)

Piiko: Good luck on the website. I'll get around to linking you to mine as soon as it becomes a bit more complete.

Leareth: Cookie peace "treaties" are cute. ^_^ I love when people can find light-hearted things to say about dark situations. I wish more people at my campus could do that.

Celes: I wasn't abandoning you on IM. I was actually studying by the time you got back on. Yes I was awake at the midnight hours. I don't have class until 12:30 tomorrow. And that class is my mid-semester exam.

Stalkers []

BIG test in Soche tomorrow. Tried studying for 2 hours but nothing seems to be sticking. Since I was able to manage an A- on my essay, I figure I may be able to wing the test based on what I already know. There are way too many facts to remember on their own. So I'm trying to relate them all to each other and remember them in groups. I hope it works.

I entered some essay into my campus newspaper. I doubt it will be published. Spent another 3 hours working on original story instead of doing homework and now will have loads to do for tomorrow. I really should stop doing that but when I have ideas that are actually flowing without me pondering them for hours on end, it's hard for me to just stop. My trains of thought are far and few. Not to mention, my muses just tantalize me with plot bunnies and then disapear when I get around to writing. So when I get a chapter that takes off on its own, I'll go with it until I reach a point where I'm going to have to really think something through.

I still have to watch Buffy and Roswell, which I was forced to record yesterday so that I could attend my journalism movie on Watergate.

Wow! I just learned that the silver-tongued Tony Blair has developed his own fanclub among my campus. Not only are the older journalism staffers entranced by him, but quite a few of the younger students flock to hear him on the news as well. -_- Me, I just think his voice is neat. That and he is supporting the US. GO Tony!
*thousands shake their heads sadly at this pathetic display*

Stalkers []

Yeah I finished my Spanish essay. I don't like it and it will probably do poorly because all my spanish grammar sucks beyond belief. Now I guess I should start studying for soche, even though I was like the only person in my class who got an A on the take-home essay. Doomed to a B or C when it comes to Journalism though.

As for the controversial events going down in Afghanistan, all I have to say is that I have issues with the food-dropping thing. Yes, I know it's supposed to help people. But we all know where that food is really going once it reaches ground. To the Afghan Soldiers, probably the Taliban. Somehow that doesn't seem to be helping. I've got loads more to say on the issue, but I don't feel like arguing over the net so I'll just keep the rest to myself.

Me a very very bad girl. Instead of working on either my Spanish essay or studying for my Sociology mid-semester, I spent the entire night completing the 21 pg. monster that is chp.12 of my little story. Now how come it is that most of my chapters barely exceed the 15 pages and yet I can still come up with these beasts? *sigh* It must come from my incabability to be consistent with anything. I'm a bit sad that I get so few readers though since I don't plan on posting more than 3 additional chapters. Oh well, I have at least one faithful reader. I wish I could draw so I could make chara designs. But alas, I'm just not special enough to possess both decent writing skills and nice artistic qualities.

Oh dear, now comes the obsession with the Tamers yaoi. Will my taste for Digimon yaoi ever be sated? Probably not. But Leekato (Lee/Takato) is yummy! Wait a second, wasn't I supposed to be looking for Daiken? *shrugs* Oh well.

I love the many interesting people I met every year at the Renaissance Festival. I'm just surprised how many anime and Gothic fans love checking this place out. Yes we have it all from the totally dark and freaky people to the anime fans bouncing around with their manga and theme shirt regalia. Oh well, I just like checking the fair out for the awesome jewelry, weaponry, and that kickass sideshow Whipflash. It's a show that teaches all about the joy of bullwhips. ^^ Yes, this is how the hosts advertise it as well.

But I was able to find this neat looking claw amulet which I absolutely adore. I named it of course, since I name everything I own from pets, stuffed animals, daggers, and yes even strange looking jewelry. This new addition has been dubbed Noir because of the black orb in the center. (Yes, I'm obsessive with naming stuff.)

Rented some more anime this weekend and decided to make a note of my reactions. CCS was chock full of Eriol-kun and Yuki/Toya goodness. Must huggle Eriol and Li-kun. Such cute widdle children. And if not for Sakura, they would make a pretty good pairing, me thinks. (Yes, even Nayami is into the shota.) As for good ol' Weiss Kruez, TOO MANY GIRLS! I only watched eps 5-7 and both Ken and Aya's eps were so boring. I liked Omi's though. Nice and angsty. Just how I like 'em. My overall reaction to Weiss. It's good when the guys are all talking or fighting an' stuff. When they're alone, they are BORING. Well, Aya and Ken are, Omi and Youji are all right.

Non-anime related ramblings for today. I headed out to see my new house. And I was right. I'm living with Clans Folk. This is the real center of nowhere. We are so far back in the woods that if it snows, we're going to be stuck. And just to show how my mother's craziness endures all, now she wants to drag me off to London over the Christmas weekend just because I said I liked Tony Blair. (And I do love listening to that man talk. So very british. He's the only reason I watch the news anymore. ^_^)

But I'm kind of pissed that the Emmy's didn't go on today. I would have loved to see if Sopranos or West Wing won anything. Plus, I also heard that my baby, Six Feet Under, got nominated for something. In other related news, even though I really don't like baseball, I am kind of sad that Cal Ripken retired. I did like watching him play.

Yikes, I was busy watching West Wing Special Premiere and Wolf Lake last night so I never did get around to doing my homework. And there's a lot of it. That means I'll have to do all my math, spanish, mythology, and sociology tonight. Why me?

Stalkers []

Wow! Yesterday I ran into two guys at my Mythology class who were totally rocking the Yaoicon shirts. I was all super-excited cause I just love those shirts! Anyway I bounce over to one, the one wearing the Uke shirt, and ask him where he found his shirt. He was a bit freaked that I actually knew what his shirt meant and looked over to his buddy for advice, but the other kid had left for class. So after the initial shock of being accosted by a fellow fan passed, he was all nice about it and told me that his "friend" had picked him up the shirt from Yaoicon. Unfortunately, it seems that he had been really sick that week and unable to make the convention for himself. Damn it! I wish I could have gone to Yaoicon!

More anime related ramblings, my roommate was downloading a bunch of music files of the oh-so trusty exchange service (read as: Kazaa). Anyway she was snagging some rap, some boy band, and some latino tunes, when she accidentially grabbed a cache containing the theme song from Kamekaze Kaitou Jeane. So she and her friends were all sitting around her bed, listening to her newly downloaded music when it suddenly starts blaring the japanese music. Her friends were all like "What is that?" And I was so eager to tell them that they were listening to anime music. Of course, after that, I had to go through the big long explanation of what anime was. But my roommate was all freaked out by the music and turned it off real quick, especially after I playfully mentioned, "Oh dear. Looks like someone is rocking the Japanese scene." The interesting thing is a day later, she still hadn't deleted the song from her playlist so it came on while she was studying for two exams. And this time she didn't turn it off or even look remotely bothered by the fact that it was on. She even left it on when another of her friends walked it. Obviously, the friend had the same initial response as the others. But after this development, maybe the possibility of letting my rm get a taste of my many Noir, Gravi, and j-rock songs isn't that unheard of anymore.

Still sick but I got to watch the Buffy Season Premiere so now I'm happy. Plus the 92 on my math exam perks my attitude a bit as well.

Me sick so don't feel like blogging much. Just wanted to say "What the hell was up with Angel? Vampires can not get one another pregnant. Just don't work that way."

Oh and yeah I finally got my Noir background music from downloads on Morpheus. Now I can listen to Melodie and Salva nos to my heart's content. They are like ballads on some serious LSD. It is definitely my new favorite anime for bg music.

Oh and I added another fic to my site. I wasn't going to mention this but it's really good. It's done in a very deep and pyschological way which I LOVE. No mushy sap going on here, just raw excerpts from the mind. I especially adore all the allusions to the Taro Cards. This has got to be one of the best X character pieces I have ever read.
